Salary Range : $35,600-$45,000

Position Summary
Working under the guidance of the Director of Pre-Professional Health Advising (PPHA), the Advisor 1 provides comprehensive advising and high-level support to current students and alumni pursuing admission to medical and other professional health programs, including Dental, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Optometry, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Podiatry, and Veterinary Medicine. This role includes reviewing ePortfolio documents, offering personal statement feedback, conducting mock interviews, and scheduling Pre-Health Evaluation Committee interviews to strengthen students' applications. The Advisor 1 also develops, coordinates, and implements workshops and events for current and prospective students, creates engaging presentations, visuals, and social media content, and conducts data collection and analysis to assess placement rates and improve services. Additionally, the position supports onboarding of first-year students, guides them through professional school preparation, reviews academic timelines, communicates prerequisite requirements, and provides targeted opportunities to enhance professional development.
