In this role, you will assess the direct delivery of resident care and administer prescribed medications.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and personnel matters.Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.Administer medications and treatments according to approved nursing practices.Keep accurate records of medical and nursing care for residents.Delegate daily care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides while monitoring care delivery.Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders and assist during physician visits.Participate in resident care planning and evaluate the physical and psychological needs of the residents.Assist with the admissions and discharges of residents.Support the management of Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.Provide direct resident care as responsibilities allow.Carry out physician orders as directed.Perform other related functions as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications :
Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.Demonstrates sound judgment, initiative, and dependability.Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently.Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently during an 8-hour shift.Capability to lift 30 pounds and assist with resident lifts and transfers.Willingness to respond to emergency needs of the Retirement Community.Ability to push a medication cart for dispensing medications.Quick and decisive reaction to emergencies and unexpected resident behaviors.Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.Communicate effectively with residents at appropriate comprehension levels.Physical Requirements :
Frequent standing, walking, stooping, twisting, and turning during the shift. Ability to assist with lifting and transferring residents regularly. Quick reaction ability in emergencies is essential.
