As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant who can take full charge and ownership of our accounting and support our mission to deliver excellence on every project.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations
• Oversee job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and project profitability reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with budget-to-actual analysis
• Process vendor bills, issue payments, and manage client invoicing, retainage, and change orders
• Reconcile job cost reports and support management with financial insights
• Support year-end close and coordinate with the company's CPA
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements to strengthen financial operations

Qualifications

5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or contractor industry required)

Strong proficiency with Accounting Software programs (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel

Solid understanding of job costing, retainage, and WIP reporting

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project managers and leadership

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus but not required

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $70,000 per year
