Senior Cloud Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)
Life sciences platform – remote, PST core hours
We're supporting a global life sciences company seeking a Senior Cloud Administrator to help evolve and automate the infrastructure behind their data-intensive analytics platform. This role blends hands-on AWS administration (40%) with DevOps automation and CI / CD management (60%) , supporting R&D workloads that span multiple global regions and large-scale compute environments.
You'll work closely with developers and data scientists to streamline deployments, maintain Kubernetes clusters, and drive automation using Terraform, Azure DevOps, and AWS-native services . The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient problem-solver who can troubleshoot across cloud, pipelines, and containers — and enjoys simplifying and optimizing complex systems.
What You'll Do
Manage and evolve multi-region AWS infrastructure (EKS, IAM, networking, cost optimization)
Maintain and improve CI / CD pipelines (Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps a plus)
Automate infrastructure delivery and reduce manual processes
Collaborate with development teams to deploy and support microservices at scale
Troubleshoot Kubernetes, build, and deployment issues
Contribute to future-state AWS architecture design and automation strategy
What We're Looking For
6+ years of cloud experience (AWS required; Azure a plus)
Strong background with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI / CD tools
Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python)
Experience supporting data-heavy or compute-intensive workloads
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Comfortable working independently in a distributed team

Remote, PST core hours (9 AM daily standup)
No formal on-call rotation (occasional off-hours work)
