Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers a full-semester contract opportunity in Charlotte, NC, providing speech-language pathology services at the elementary school level. The assignment involves working primarily within multiple extension classrooms, supporting a range of students including those in regular elementary settings, Pre-K, and students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Teletherapy options may also be part of the service delivery model.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services aligned with typical SLP duties.
  • Provide evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress documentation.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed.
  • Participate in administrative tasks and paid team meetings.
  • Adapt services within a caseload workload model, meeting district requirements.
  • Collaborate with educational teams and utilize the districts IEP system (training provided).
  • Travel to multiple school locations assigned within the district.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in pediatric and school-based speech therapy.
  • Ability to provide teletherapy services.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or demonstrated competence.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Flexibility to work itinerantly across several school locations.
  • Location and Schedule :

  • Position based in Charlotte, NC.
  • Full-time assignment (37.5 hours per week).
