Elementary Teacher

Description : Position Overview :

School Professionals, a staffing agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Upper Elementary School Teacher on behalf of a private school in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. The ideal candidate will bring passion for education, proven classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for upper elementary students.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with school standards and curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports active learning.

Manage classroom behavior effectively using Responsive Classroom strategies and clear expectations.

Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student growth.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an elementary school setting.

Strong classroom management and behavior strategy skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Commitment to fostering a supportive, engaging, and academically focused learning environment.

Position Details :

Start Date : October 20, 2025

Schedule : Full-time

Monday–Thursday : 7 : 45 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Friday : 7 : 45 AM – 2 : 30 PM

Teachers rotate after-school dismissal duty (approx. 15 minutes).

Classroom Support : Full-time Teacher Assistant provided.

Class Size : Capped at 21 students.

Professional Growth : Weekly planning period with administration; strong emphasis on ongoing professional development.

Additional Notes : Pre-planned lesson plans available; academic support staff available at each grade level.

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary Range : $52,000 – $60,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
