JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient nursing support for the cardiothoracic surgeon. The position liaisons (in a defined scope of practice) with nursing staff and other physicians in the care of cardiac and thoracic patients.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional / developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Training / Experience :

REQUIRED :

Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with health care professionals at all levels to achieve established goals.

Ability to work with a personal computer.

Minimum of a ADN

PREFERRED : BSN

2 to 3 years clinical experience in Cardiovascular nursing preferred : Ability to plan, deliver, evaluate, and enhance clinical care and outcomes.

License / Certifications / Special Requirements :

Possesses current State RN license.

ACLS certification preferred.

Non-exempt hourly
