Interim Director of Nursing
Location : Newark, DE 19713
Schedule : Monday – Friday, no weekends or holidays (some flexibility depending on case load)
Position Overview :
A high-volume pain management surgery center is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team during the temporary absence of the current DON. This role requires a strong clinical leader who can manage operations, mentor staff, and collaborate closely with the facility administrator.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing operations.
- Ensure high-quality patient care in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 direct reports.
- Collaborate with the CEO / Facility Administrator to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
- Support clinical staff in maintaining best practices, patient safety, and documentation standards.
- Proactively address challenges in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment.
