Rehab Nursing Assistant - PRN Night

Neuro Rehab Coach

SSM Health Neuro Transitional Center, a joint venture between Select Medical and SSM Health, is seeking a Neuro Rehab Coach (Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant, Rehab Patient Support Tech, Therapy Aide, Caregiver). This position is located in O'Fallon, MO, with a schedule of PRN 7p-7a, four shifts in a four week period, with two shifts on weekends. The compensation is $21 / PRN rate with a $1.50 night shift differential.

The role involves functioning under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to assist individuals with brain injury or spinal cord injury in regaining their independence and returning home. You will be part of the therapy and nursing team and play a key role in helping patients re-learn to walk, talk, dress, cook, and manage their own medical needs. An ideal candidate has a passion for serving and helping others, previous experience in the healthcare field as a technician or direct care provider, or is in school pursuing a degree in a related field.

On a daily basis :

• Help patients with day to day living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, cooking, washing clothes, making their bed, loading the dishwasher, cleaning their suite, etc.
• Drive patients into the community for medical appointments, community activities
• Assist the rehabilitation therapists with patient activities
• Assist patients with nurse delegated tasks after completing the training we provide to ensure your competency. These tasks may include taking vital signs, and peg tube feedings
• Additional tasks as needed
