Interpreting Services For Deaf And Hard Of Hearing Students
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide interpreting and other support services to students who are deaf and hard of hearing who are participating in inclusive or self-contained settings during the school day as well as during extra-curricular activities. The position is responsible for interpreting for students, providing appropriate signs to students and staff when needed, providing guidance and assistance to students as needed, and performing related work as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in education, special education, sign language / interpretation or other related field and four (4) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience; requires a minimum 3.0 certification on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment.
(PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND / OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
Degree Equivalency Formula :
Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
