Engineer II

WHY CHA?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is looking to hire an Engineer II to report to our Miami, FL office. The Engineer II will assist in the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Engineer II will aid senior engineering staff members in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. This individual will work on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual, and company requirements.

YOUR IMPACT

Specifically, the Engineer II will perform the following duties :

• Participates in the development of preliminary design concepts and makes simple comparative cost analysis or writes preliminary specifications;
• Aids in the development of computation methods, technical reports and specifications at the direction of a mid or senior-level engineer using the standards established by the technical group;
• Recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, makes appropriate corrections and follows standard procedures established by the technical group;
• Develops a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm's and client's practices, procedures, and standards;
• Understands project budgeting process;
• Accompanies senior engineering staff on field assignments when appropriate;
• Adheres to project budgets; and
• Performs other related engineering duties.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will also have Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification and at least six (6) months of experience as a project engineer or related position.

SALARY RANGE :

$87,693.00 to $90,000.00

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
