Job Description

Position Purpose :

Under general supervision from the Metering Supervisor or other assigned supervisor, the Energy Monitoring Systems Technician will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical metering data collection systems.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities :

• Respond to service orders concerning customers, including equipment change-outs, device commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
• Use specific software to commission / program electronic / thermal / water meters, and remote data collection hardware, and complete all relevant paperwork associated with the assignment.
• Coordinate electrician presence onsite and execute project micro-management upon completion—follow up on any new opportunities.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, and co-workers, and respond to inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Perform other duties as required including occasional drawing reviews / updates, tenant surveys, and occasional meter reading.
• Partake in department workflow, stay aware of ongoing projects, and assist when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate :   $28.86 to $33.65 per hour.
