Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support the design, development, and production of custom retail fixtures and displays. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the store fixture or custom display industry and demonstrate a strong background in CNC programming and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities :
- Translate design concepts and client specifications into manufacturable engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Develop CNC programs for routers, mills, and other automated equipment to support production across wood, metal, and plastic materials.
- Collaborate with design, project management, and shop teams to ensure feasibility and efficiency of engineering solutions.
- Maintain part libraries and standardize component usage to increase accuracy and reduce production time.
- Perform material take-offs, BOM generation, and cost estimation.
- Ensure adherence to quality, tolerances, and safety standards throughout the engineering and production processes.
- Provide on-site support for prototyping, troubleshooting, and revisions during fabrication.
Required Qualifications :
3+ years of engineering experience in the custom store fixture or display manufacturing industry (required).Proficient in CNC programming and related software (e.g., Mastercam, AlphaCAM, or similar).Strong working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).Familiarity with production techniques involving wood, metal, acrylic, and mixed materials.Ability to read and create detailed shop drawings and assembly instructions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fast-paced, custom job environments.Preferred Qualifications :
