General Statement of Duties
Closing Date : This position closes on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Performs routine field and office duties in connection with the auditing of businesses operating in the County to determine appropriate tax bases for assessment purposes and enforces business license and personal property tax regulations; does related work as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following :
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Four (4) year degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other related field preferred and four (4) years of experience performing field audits, including two (2) years as a Business Auditor II. OR, any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

A valid driver's license to perform assigned duties at various locations Countywide as required.
Positions from this posting may be filled at the Business Auditor I II, II or I level depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant and the needs of the organization at the time of hire.
For a Business Auditor III : Four (4) year degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other related field preferred and four (4) years of experience performing field audits, including two (2) years as a Business Auditor II. OR, any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. ($ 68,759 - $ 126,486 )
For a Business Auditor II : Four (4) year degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other related field preferred and two (2) years of experience performing field audits; OR, any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. ($ 62,605 - $ 115,164 )
For a Business Auditor I : Four (4) year degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other related field preferred and some previous relevant work experience, preferably in accounting or tax auditing; OR, any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. ($ 57,001 - $ 104,856 )
