Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Hopewell, VA 23860 (Virginia healthcare jobs)

Unit : Telemetry, 2SB (23 beds)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 5 / 2026 – End : 4 / 6 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00–19 : 00), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Employment Type : Travel Nursing, Registered Nurse contract

Dress Code : All black scrubs, or black pants with red top for RNs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Virginia or compact state) – required for Virginia nursing jobs

BLS & ACLS certifications (required for healthcare jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience

Strong cardiac background preferred

SD / PCU experience is a plus

Excellent communication skills and team player attitude

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients using advanced telemetry equipment

Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced 23-bed Telemetry unit

Perform procedures including line placements and dialysis

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team (Charge Nurse, RNs, PCTs, Unit Secretary)

Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 5–1 : 6 for optimal clinical support

Float to Med / Surg and PCU units as needed (if experienced)

Document care accurately using EMR systems

Uphold high standards of safety and quality patient care
