Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily functioning, upkeep, and reliability of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utility services.
- Create and manage a robust maintenance program (including preventive and predictive tasks) to ensure maximum equipment availability and reduce interruptions.
- Provide direct leadership, guidance, and task assignment to the maintenance technician team, focusing on their professional development and performance.
- Use engineering-based problem-solving and methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to analyze and improve operational and maintenance processes.
- Perform detailed investigations into equipment failures to identify the fundamental cause and implement lasting solutions.
- Guarantee the facility meets all requirements set by OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health, safety, and environmental agencies.
- Control the department's finances, including preparing the budget, managing costs for labor and materials, and overseeing vendor agreements.
- Lead facility improvement initiatives and equipment installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within the allocated budget.
Required Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required (Process, Industrial, Mechanical, or a closely related field).At least 5 years of professional experience in managing facilities, leading a maintenance department, or in a plant engineering role.Must have prior experience directly supervising maintenance personnel.Working knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance practices, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and core building infrastructure.A firm understanding of workplace safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA).Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective process improvements.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across different departments.Preferred Qualifications
