Position Overview

BrightStar Care of Omaha is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for 12-hour overnight shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM.

This position offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one skilled care in the home, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of support and comfort throughout the night. We are hiring immediately for these weekend overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide direct skilled nursing care to clients in their homes according to the plan of care established by the Director of Nursing

Perform and monitor ostomy and colostomy care with accuracy and professionalism

Assess and record client conditions, reporting any changes promptly to the BrightStar Care clinical team

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Provide client and family education to support independence and ongoing health needs

Deliver care with compassion, respect, and a commitment to excellence

Schedule

Saturday 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

Sunday 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

Consistent weekend shifts with opportunities for additional hours if desired

Ideal for nurses seeking steady weekend work or supplemental income

Requirements

Active RN or LPN license in the State of Nebraska (in good standing)

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred

Ostomy and colostomy care experience required

Flu vaccination required for all field staff

Current CPR / BLS certification

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented
