Environmental Control and Thermal Analysis Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)

Location : Huntsville, AL

Position Responsibilities

Create or modify thermal math models to support system analysis
Run analytical cases to determine environments or temperatures of various components or structures of the SLS upper stage vehicle
Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Propulsion and Stress to ensure requirements are met and issues are resolved
Develop skills and grow into an independent contributor role with increasing technical complexity
Take on broader ownership of work including design build supply chain production support and customer support
Work on exciting challenges within a collaborative and supportive team environment

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., Thermal Desktop)

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics

Experience with aerospace or defense industry standards and practices

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or coursework in thermal design and analysis

Experience or coursework with thermal design and modeling of aerospace platforms

Experience or coursework with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop, Sinda / Fluint, SpaceClaim, or similar tools

Experience or coursework working with space programs, NASA programs preferred

Pay & Benefits

Summary pay range for Associate : $76,500.00 – $103,500.00

Summary pay range of Mid-Level : $95,200.00 – $128,800.00
