General Laborer

A General Laborer in a warehouse is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting with various tasks to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
2. Organize, sort, and store materials and products in the warehouse.
3. Operate manual and electric pallet jacks to move items.
4. Assist with inventory management by conducting stock counts and labeling items.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and cleaning up debris.
6. Pack and prepare products for shipment or storage.
7. Assist with assembly, packaging, and labeling of goods.
8. Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
9. Report any damage or discrepancies in inventory to supervisors.
10. Assist other warehouse staff as needed and perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse or general labor experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plus.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures (if applicable to the warehouse environment).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with basic warehouse management systems.
• Forklift certification (if applicable to the role).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
