Physical Therapist (P.T.) Inpatient

Full-time

  • Work location : Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76104
  • Physical Therapy department
  • Work hours : Full-time, 40 hours / week, 3 Days during the week and every Saturday and Sunday 8AM-5PM, rotate some holidays.

  • Here's What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.
  • No experience needed, New grads are welcome!
  • PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills
  • What You Will Do

  • Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
  • Performs treatment procedures / techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
  • Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and / or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs / self-management and assistive equipment.
  • Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
  • Attends and / or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
