Location : Los Angeles, CA

Schedule : [6am - 6pm, 6pm - 6am. Full-Time, Part-Time

Pay : $32 - $36

We are a specialized residential treatment center dedicated to supporting adolescents with dual diagnoses, addressing both mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders. Position Summary

The LVN / LPN plays a critical role on our clinical team, working directly with adolescent residents to ensure their physical and emotional safety, support treatment goals, and assist with day-to-day medical and behavioral health needs. This position requires a dependable, compassionate nurse who can balance professional boundaries with empathy while maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adolescent residents in accordance with physician orders and treatment plans

Administer medications and monitor for side effects, documenting all care accurately in the EMR system

Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments, including vitals, symptom monitoring, and withdrawal management as appropriate

Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and direct care staff to ensure continuity of care

Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies, following established protocols and reporting procedures

Educate residents and families on medication adherence, wellness, and health maintenance

Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, DHCS / Joint Commission standards, and facility policies

Support therapeutic milieu by modeling positive behavior and maintaining a safe, structured environment

Qualifications

Active LVN or LPN license in the state of California

Previous experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment is a plus

Experience with adolescent population is a plus

Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations

Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., KIPU) is a plus
