About The Position

Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : CVICU experience required; minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years required

License : Must hold a nursing license from state of residence or a compact license

Certifications : BLS & ACLS certified through American Heart Association; must have Basic Arrhythmia experience

Must-Have :

Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required

Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and / or Acuity Adaptable area preferred

Telemetry test required prior to starting

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team.

This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a specialized environment.

Care will include assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

The focus is on delivering care for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgeries, heart and lung transplants, and medical device management.

Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities also include managing critical care equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

This position may involve floating to other units based on staffing needs.

Weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.

A telemetry exam is mandatory before the commencement of employment.

Candidates must successfully pass the telemetry test, which includes identifying lethal rhythms and other critical assessments.

Nurses typically care for 1-2 patients, depending on acuity.

Team support includes Care Team Leaders and Rapid Response Nurses to assist during shifts.
