THE WORK :
You'll inspect the construction of a wide variety of airport improvements and utilities projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, contracts, permits, environmental documents, agreements for work, and may provide construction inspection support.You'll conduct comprehensive daily inspections of mechanical and plumbing systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications, review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.You'll demonstrate strong proficiency in preparing comprehensive daily inspection reports that clearly document the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all observed construction activities, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accountability in tracking progress and identifying issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns in a timely manner.You'll verify contractor compliance with local and national mechanical and plumbing codes, and LAWA-specific standards.You'll track and document time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantitiesYou'll assist in validating contractor progress payment requests based on an approved schedule of values.You'll support special inspections and testing activities, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed.Onsite at client site : The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. You may be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED :
High School diploma (or equivalent)3 years or more of experience performing mechanical inspections on large scale Public Works type projectsCurrent ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector30-hour Cal-OSHA training received within the last 4 years prior to assignmentBONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE :
Additional Current ICC certifications as Electrical and Plumbing InspectorNFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years is preferredTraining & knowledge of NFPA -70, 70E, & 72 is preferredExperience at the journey-level as an electrician, with a focus on the installation and repair of electrical systems in public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial settingsPlumbing experience (journeyman / master level) with progression into inspectionExperience inspecting mechanical systems of large-scale commercial, industrial or public buildingsExperience overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projectsInvolvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officialsExpertise in identifying and addressing deficiencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standardsCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Massachusetts, Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
