About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Juneau. This position helps with the upkeep, safety, and operational efficiency of multiple apartment buildings and manufactured home parks. They are responsible for a wide range of building and equipment maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. This position is part of a Juneau based team reporting to an experienced Senior Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
Working with the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technicians duties will include those items listed below and any additional tasks assigned to ensure that all apartment units, manufactured home parks, and community facilities and other areas are safe, well-maintained, compliant with local codes and are clean and tidy.Diagnose and perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, drywall, locks, windows, appliances, and moreComplete repairs and maintenance of apartments so they are move-in ready for new tenantsPaint interiors / exteriors and perform carpentry as neededMaintain and repair HVAC systems; replace water heatersRespond to service requests in a timely, professional mannerPerform daily property inspections and maintain common areasComplete preventative maintenance and maintain accurate recordsKeep the maintenance shop clean and stocked with inventoryCoordinate with contractors and vendorsBe on-call, when scheduled, and available for after-hours emergencies as needed.Perform seasonal outdoor and indoor maintenance : snow removal, mowing, landscaping, pressure washing, etc.Qualifications :
General maintenance experience for apartment buildings, manufactured or mobile home parks, or buildings is requiredSome knowledge of basic appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, and electrical systems. On-site training with the Senior Maintenance Manager may provide an opportunity to expand your skill set.Must own a full set of general basic tools. The company provides or rents other tools and equipment needed for specific jobs.Valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance is required. Be qualified and obtain DOT certification. Reliable transportation to / from work and job sites Company reimburses employees for work related mileage at IRS rates.Must reside in Juneau.Strong customer service skills, dependability, and attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)Physical Requirements :
