Assist licensed clinicians in the provision of direct and indirect patient care on assigned unit.

Responsibilities and duties include :

• Serving as unit receptionist; assisting hospital visitors and staff with information needs.
• Entering physician's orders into the hospital computer system; processing "STAT" and "NOW" orders immediately and notifying the Registered Nurse of such orders; entering other patient information into the hospital information system.
• Maintaining patient medical records and preparing discharge charts.
• Performing and assisting the patient with activities of daily living; maintaining environmental cleanliness and safety.
• Performing delegable other nursing tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Assisting hospital visitors and staff with information needs; utilizing wireless devices and technology for coordination of healthcare.
