QUALIFICATIONS :
- 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
- Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
- Dental practice management software (Open Dental / Dentrix) experience helpful
- Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.Verify all insurances PPOs, Medi & ChipAbility to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)Send Pre-AuthorizationsMust utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.Ability to audit chart notes and create claimsAbility to run end of day reportsAssist with open and close of the officeDaily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)Performs all other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements :
