As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and patrolling a residential community. Your presence will help to create a welcoming environment while you interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will use technology to manage access and respond to situations as needed. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AMSun04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the residential location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the community to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Assist residents and guests with inquiries and provide information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate and directed by site-specific guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
