This position requires a proactive and organized individual who can efficiently manage medication schedules, perform medication administration, and offer overall support in healthcare management.

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee the medication distribution process, maintaining thorough and accurate records for each resident.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families regarding any changes in medication or resident care plans.
  • Assist in the evaluation, modification, and implementation of individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure safe medication practices and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Educate residents and their families on medication management, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor residents’ progress and adjust care strategies accordingly.
  • Provide compassionate support to residents, fostering a nurturing and safe living environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to stay current with best practices in medication management and senior care.
  • Qualifications :
  • Certification or licensure as a Medication Technician or equivalent healthcare qualification.
  • Experience in a care management role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of healthcare software and electronic health records systems is an advantage.
  • First aid and CPR certification preferred.
