As a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity (CS) support. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful certification and accreditation (C&A) of risk management framework (RMF) accreditation packages through rigorous analysis and documentation.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure the security integrity of information systems and networks.
- Conduct comprehensive security audits and assessments using leading tools such as Nessus, ACAS, and Wireshark.
- Implement robust security controls and safeguards for various systems and applications.
- Continuously monitor system performance and analyze security logs for suspicious activities.
- Manage incident response efforts and perform detailed forensic analysis.
- Maintain and update NIST documentation and other critical security artifacts.
- Guarantee compliance with applicable security standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with IT teams to enhance system architecture and configuration security.
Your Qualifications
DoD Secret security clearance (required).5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or a related field.Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least one DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, Cloud+).Familiarity with Unix / Linux systems (RedHat, CentOS, Rocky, etc.).Strong understanding of NIST frameworks, DoD IA controls, STIGs, and secure software development.Experience with security tools such as Nmap, OWASP ZAP, Grype, or Prisma is a plus.Schedule & Benefits

Cubic Pay Range : $100,000.00 - $133,633.00 + benefits.
