Job descriptionBachelor's Degree is required for consideration Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of purchasing leadership experience Subject matter expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain systems.
We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a senior level Purchasing Manager due to a recently announced promotion. This organization prides themselves on an outstanding culture predicated on benefits, compensation, and working atmosphere. The Senior Purchasing Manager will report directly to the VP / General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Candidate will report to the company VP / General Manager while managing (4) direct reports
- Complete financial / budgetary ownership of department
- Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
- Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, and reliability
- Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
- Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent
- Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.
