COMMISSIONING MANAGER

SUMMARY

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing field operations, general safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, commissioning, coordination with other superintendent and project leaders on the jobsite.  This position reports to the Senior Commissioning Manager or another senior management personnel that the CEO may designate.

This is a hybrid position, you will work out of your home office and the project sites. Working hours shall be determined based on project requirements and business needs, in consultation with the employee's supervisor. This position is expected to travel up to 30% of the time, or as needed for project.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs solar / construction personnel and / or installation subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
• Coordination of personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules
• Support the team with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options
• Recommend / implement appropriate course of action
• Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy
• Identify welding certification, training and experience appropriate for assignment scope
• Coordinate and implement resources and activities necessary to maintain a safe and quality execution
• Assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance.
• Coordination with supplier testing & commissioning teams
• Advice site teams on paper work needed collected to initiate commissioning
• Identify testing required per projects scope of work
• Communication with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements
• Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management.
