Job description

Job Function

The FCS Sales Engineer (East Region) is responsible for supporting sales efforts in the VA, NC, MD and Eastern TN regions by providing technical expertise and solutions to prospective and existing Stäubli FCS clients. The role involves understanding customer needs, offering tailored solutions, and facilitating successful sales cycles. The FCS Sales Engineer is expected to collaborate closely with the FCS Sales team, engineering department, and product management to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the division's growth.

Regional Sales Manager – North America

Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Sales Calls & Planning
  • Develop a weekly call plan targeting open quotes, projects, web and exhibition leads, key accounts, and overdue follow-up visits
  • Organize plans using Outlook Calendar or as per company policy, ensuring visibility and structure
  • Customer Engagement
  • Conduct face-to-face and remote meetings with clients, aiming for a minimum of 20 contacts per week
  • Prospect for new business opportunities, demonstrating persistence and efficiency in follow-ups
  • CRM Management
  • Record detailed call reports and prospecting notes as per company policy in the CRM system
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions and relevant sales activities
  • Sales Strategy
  • Implement the company's chosen sales strategy, "Strategic Selling," and achieve success with this methodology
  • Reports & Administration
  • Submit weekly expense reports and monthly project reports adhering to company guidelines
  • Manage expenses responsibly in alignment with company policies
  • Market Intelligence
  • Report competitor activities and any significant market shifts to the Regional Manager promptly
  • Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs
  • Training & Meetings
  • Attend all mandatory sales / training meetings, exhibitions, and other company-related events
  • Vehicle Management
  • Provide and maintain a reliable vehicle for company purposes, aligned with company allowance policies
  • Professional Conduct
  • Uphold professional communication standards, ensuring the company's welfare and reputation in every interaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience (Technical or Fluid Connector sector preferred)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Located within the VA, NC, SC or FL region
  • Physical Requirements

  • Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Work schedule

  • Willingness to travel as required both domestically (up to 75%)
  • This position will cover the territories of VA, NC, MD, Eastern TN
  • Salary

    $105,000 - $117,500 Base with monthly SIP
