The success of our operations is founded on a team based approach to projects and you will have the opportunity to work together with, and support a range of qualified tradespeople to be successful on all projects.
Responsibilities
As a Trades Assistant you will play a key role in CPC’s construction and maintenance by :
- Assisting tradespeople in their activities and duties across a wide range of areas including boiler-making, fitting, scaffolding and general labouring duties
- Performing scheduled maintenance, where required
- Carrying out designated tasks as outlined by your manager, supervisor, leading-hand or other tradespeople
You will also drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in an engineering or mining environmentYear 10 or equivalent schoolingMechanical trade assistant experienceA level of proficiency in a range of maintenance activitiesAbility to work autonomously or as part of a teamAble to pass Medical and Drug & Alcohol testsPractical communication and team building abilitiesRelevant computer literacyAbility to work in remote locationsCurrent WA drivers’ license. A HR License would be advantageous, although not essential
