Job description

Locum Tenens : Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Physician Near Harrisburg, PA

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hematology and Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Harrisburg, PA. This position starts ASAP and is expected to run on an ongoing basis. The assignment offers an excellent chance to provide high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also offering the flexibility and competitive compensation that comes with locum tenens work.

Schedule :

  • Holidays Allowed : New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

    • Job Duties :

  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient Hematology and Oncology services
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of complex cases related to blood disorders and cancer
  • Perform rounds, manage admissions, and consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Attend to patients during clinic hours and on-call duties as required
  • Collaborate with support staff and other medical professionals in a team-oriented environment

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Board Certification : Yes, must be Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
  • Fellowship : Required
  • Licensing : Active Pennsylvania state license or eligibility through IMLC
  • Certifications :

    • ABLS

  • ACLS
  • ATLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • EMR System : Epic

    • Credentialing and Privileges :

  • Hospital and surgery center privileges are required
  • Temporary privileges are available for fast onboarding
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe : 90 days

    • Additional Details :

  • This role will include scheduled clinical hours along with on-call responsibilities.
  • A high level of flexibility and the ability to handle a dynamic workload are essential.
  • Youll have the support of dedicated nurses, physician assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
