Maintenance Technician

Title : Maintenance Technician

Location : Wooster, OH

Salary : $32 - $45 / Hour

Shift : 5PM - 5AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all machinery and equipment in our industrial facility. This position involves a mix of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to maintain optimal production levels and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Install new equipment and machinery as needed
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and address equipment issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with PLCs and industrial machinery troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs
