As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities Of Tactical Security Guard
Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activityVerify identities and control access to secure areasReact quickly to threats or incidentsCheck the proper functioning of alarms and camerasDocument incidents and actions takenRespond to alarms and conduct on-site checksCollaborate with law enforcement during serious incidentsEnsure the safety and protection of individuals and propertyQualifications Of Tactical Security Guard
Be authorized to work in the U.S.You are 21 years old or olderProvide documentation of High School Diploma or GEDHave a state security license (CT state Blue Card) valid armed endorsementPrior law enforcement officer with a minimum of 5 years' experience OR a career military or military police officerHave a minimum of six (6) months of armed work experience which may include military and / or law enforcement experiencePass an LEAI Assessment (62% or higher)Complete government-required live-fire testing and meet minimum scores as established by the state of ConnecticutComplete standard NRA course of fire with eighty percent (80%) proficiencyPass standard GWSS employee physicalPass modified agility exam to include lifting and moving and flexibility testing (The Kraus Weber Test)Pass Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) based on agility, walking, running and liftingCurrently have or be able to attain all necessary immunizationsProvide personally owned duty weapon (9mm caliber handgun & three (3) magazines of a minimum 10 round capacity)Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative (OC Spray)Strong communication skills, both written and verbalClean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicleAbility to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmnessFirst aid certification is an assetAbility to stand and walk for the entire shiftIt is the policy of GardaWorld Security Services to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, veteran status, or disability in accordance with applicable federal laws.
