Benign / Classical Hematology Faculty Opportunities – University of Florida Health

UF Health Department of Medicine, an NCI-Designated Cancer Center and nationally recognized academic institution, is seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Hematologists to join our growing Division of Hematology & Oncology. We are currently recruiting for three faculty roles : Clinical Benign Hematologist – Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Hematology Hospitalist – Inpatient only (flexible scheduling available) Traditional Faculty Hematologist – Primarily clinical with academic involvement This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, academic tertiary care environment serving patients with a wide range of hematologic conditions while teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians. Position Highlights Practice Setting : Academic, primarily clinical faculty role Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (8 clinic half-days 30 inpatient days per year) Patient Volume : ~14–16 patients per day in clinic; 10–15 inpatient consults per day Weekday / Weekend Call : 6 weekends per year and 6 weeks per year; Fellows handle first call Team : 29 faculty physicians (6 hematology only) and 13 APPs (4 heme only) EMR : Epic (inpatient and outpatient) Procedures : Bone marrow biopsy Hospital : UF Health Shands Hospital – 1,149 licensed beds, 1,500 medical staff physicians Position Benefits : Competitive Compensation Package Incentive Model : wRVU-based annual bonus opportunity Business Investment & Development (BID) Payment Relocation Support : Included in BID payment CME Funding : annual allowance for travel, memberships, and conferences Comprehensive University of Florida employee benefits, including : Paid Time Off : 20 academic leave days annually 22 vacation days, 13 sick days, 11 holidays, 4 December leave days Malpractice Coverage : Provided under UF’s sovereign immunity (includes tail coverage) PSLF Eligible employer Position Requirements : MD or DO Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain) Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC / BE) in Hematology (ABIM or equivalent)
