Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director or Major Gifts Officer, based in Northwest Washington, DC. The Director or Major Gifts Officer will reestablish the major-donor program and design a scalable framework for future campaigns. Reporting to senior leadership, this role manages a personal portfolio, partners with the CEO, COO and Board on strategy, and delivers measurable growth in philanthropic revenue.

• Manage and grow a defined portfolio of major donors and prospects.
• Develop individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Coordinate with executive leadership and board members on strategy and engagement.
• Prepare and present proposals aligned to mission priorities.
• Establish systems for recognition, data integrity, and accurate reporting. Partner on capital and planned-giving initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range $130,000–$165,000 DOE. Performance incentive up to 5% of base tied to defined fundraising KPIs. Comprehensive benefits, including health, retirement, and paid leave.
