Summary of the Position

The Lead Technician is a highly skilled and experienced technician responsible for performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy equipment sold by Best Equipment. This role will involve providing technical guidance and mentorship to other technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, and contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the repair shop. The Lead Technician is expected to be a subject matter expert, capable of troubleshooting intricate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics and Troubleshooting :

Conduct thorough and accurate diagnostics on complex equipment malfunctions, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals.

Perform intricate repairs and overhauls on heavy equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to junior and mid-level technicians.

Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed to a high standard of quality and safety.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Stay up-to-date with the latest heavy equipment technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through training, workshops, and technical publications. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Interact as needed with customers to explain repair procedures or findings in a clear and understandable manner.
