Staff / Sr. Staff Scientist

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Scientist to join our team in Princeton, NJ or or Dayton, OH developing next generation sensor data processing and exploitation software for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working to develop performant and maintainable code as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment consisting of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers. The successful candidate will be able to prototype, design, integrate, and test advanced software solutions that enable real-time dynamic processing of remote sensing data.

Responsibilities

• Researching and / or implementing new data processing algorithms and analysis techniques for remote sensor data exploitation
• Characterizing quality of algorithms and models
• Optimize existing high-throughput algorithms surrounding our image analysis, detection, and tracking efforts
• Software engineering to develop, integrate, and test advanced software solutions that enable real-time dynamic processing of remote sensing data
• Other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position is $98,000-$146,000. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
