CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Sprinkler Technician to join our Commercial & Institutional Fire Protection Services Team at our Birmingham, AL office.

Your Impact

CHA offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to address the most challenging fire risks. Our approach involves adapting strategies and solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of buildings and the environment, while promoting safety and efficiency.

The Sr. Sprinkler Technician is responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to standards and in alignment with work specifications, and fire codes. The professional in this role will manage an on-site work crew of varying sizes and perform final inspections with local, state, and county AHJ's.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 7 years' industry experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and redline fab drawings
• Strong working knowledge of wet and dry fire sprinkler systems
• Must have a valid driver's license
• OSHA 30 Training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment
• Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working within ducts, crawl spaces, climbing a ladder, outside in the heat or cold, on lift equipment, or dirty environments
• Ability to work at heights in a man lift and lift 50+ pounds above head
• Must have excellent communication skills and positive customer service attitude
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Sales aptitude a plus
• Prior experience leading and overseeing a team
• Must be willing to travel

Salary Range : $26.92 - $32.45

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
