Hospital-Employed | Flexible Schedule | $300K Signing Bonus Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologists to join our growing team. Position Overview Flexible Employment : Full-time or part-time (.5 FTE or more) Typical Schedule : Weekdays, first case 7 : 00-8 : 00 AM; done by 3 : 30-4 : 00 PM Call : 35 shifts / year (Primary, Secondary, OB) shared equally $2,000 / call for shifts beyond 35 Cardiac has a separate call pool Practice Setting : Main hospital and nearby surgery center ~1,200 surgeries / month, 700 deliveries / year Team : 21 anesthesiologists / day (mix of employed, contracted, and locums) Subspecialties welcome (no dedicated subspecialty roles) Compensation & Benefits Income : $600K W-2 or $700K 1099 (1.0 FTE + 35 call shifts) Signing Bonus : $300K total ( at signing, on start) Early Commitment Stipend : $150K for residents Time Off : 10 weeks + post-call days CME : $5,000 / year Full Benefits : 403b / 457b, malpractice w / tail, relocation, DEA / license fees PSLF eligible Enjoy a collaborative team, access to a wide range of surgical specialties, and a thriving, family-friendly community with affordable living, great schools, and cultural activities.
