IS EPIC- ASAP Emergency Department Analyst (RN)

This position is responsible for serving as a clinically trained professional or nurse liaison between Information Systems, Nursing Services, Administration, and any other departments necessary that provide patient care. This position uses expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate projects for the facility to best facilitate its clinical usefulness. This position is responsible for coordination and development of IT and clinical application support for Emergency Department workflow and integration points especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and charging. This position provides staff training and performance improvement of systems implemented / utilized. This position assists in the development and implementation of the clinical components of care pathways and decision support systems to optimize the outcomes generated by the facility as a whole and its patients. This position is capable of and may be assigned duties as a project leader with supervisory responsibility for other staff during a project. This position engages in significant interaction with clients, vendors, support personnel, administration, peers, and others.

Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing (RN) required

Current Tennessee Registered Nurse License.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required.

Experience in healthcare IT, EHR systems, or clinical informatics preferred.

EPIC Certification will be required in the timeframe as determined by the Chief Information Officer.
