POSITION SUMMARY
The Coaching Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the Student Coaching Hub, ensuring the effective delivery of coaching services to undergraduate students. This role will manage the logistics of the coaching program, support a team of student and professional coaches, and serve as the primary liaison between the Coaching Hub, faculty, and Student Affairs leadership. The Coaching Coordinator will uphold the principles of Consciousness-Based Education and Emergence Coaching, aligning with MIU’s mission to foster student success, retention, agility, and resilience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Student Coaching Hub, including scheduling, assigning students, and tracking program progress.
- Coordinate the onboarding of student coaches (Ed.D. and graduate students).
- Oversee intake processes and student referrals, ensuring equitable access to coaching services.
- Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions, assessments, and program outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with FERPA and other relevant university policies.
STUDENT SUCCESS & RETENTION
Collaborate with Student Affairs, Academic Advisors, and faculty to identify students who may benefit from coaching support.Track and report student engagement and coaching outcomes to support retention and persistence goals.OUTREACH & COMMUNICATION
Promote coaching services through orientations, workshops, and campus-wide communication strategies.Serve as the point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding coaching inquiries.Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports diverse student needs and backgrounds.ASSESSMENT & REPORTING
Develop and administer feedback surveys, tracking measures, and outcome assessments for coaching effectiveness.Provide data-informed reports on coaching utilization, student progress, and impact on retention to university leadership.Contribute to research and evaluation initiatives related to coaching and student development.QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in coaching, student support, or program coordination in higher education.Strong organizational and project management skills.Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations.Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.Preferred :
Formal coach training.Familiarity with Consciousness-Based Education and / or Emergence Coaching.Experience managing graduate student staff, interns, or volunteers.Data collection, program evaluation, or research experience.COMPETENCIES
