The WM Platforms organization manages platforms and experiences across the Advisor, Workplace and Direct channels, ensuring that our capabilities lead the industry and are delivered and integrated seamlessly. The team partners closely with business and technology groups to lead end-to-end execution of platform enhancements, from initial idea generation through implementation and roll-out.

The Advice Channel Onboard & Data Team sits within WM Platforms and serves as trusted partners to WM platform owners, provides transformational platform strategies with better tools for our business units as they increase maturity with a focus on people, process, and technology to ultimately improve client experience. The team identifies strategic opportunities by assessing the operating model and technology platforms within Wealth Management to improve efficiency and client service.

Job Overview

As part of the Platforms Team, this candidate should be comfortable solving tough problems and challenging the status quo to design solutions that enhance the strategy and onboarding platform portfolio. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to engage with various stakeholders surrounding a key business initiative and leverage advanced technologies. Primary focus will include overseeing the Client and Account Onboarding Platform that supports a number of dynamic and multi-phase projects to transform the firm's existing client onboarding and KYC / EDD Enhanced Due Diligence process. The candidate will drive the creation of business requirements, new designs, and support existing platform solutions within an agile framework.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale client and account onboarding projects across multiple business channels applied firm-wide, ensuring alignment, cohesiveness, and messaging across the initiative.
  • Partner with various stakeholders - Technology, UX, Operations, Global Financial Crimes, AML, Financial Advisor teams, to identify, assess & manage process change solutions.
  • Identify and develop areas for improvement including system enhancements, process controls to improve the throughput, quality of work, KYC data collection.
  • Work with Leadership / Stakeholders to prioritize key features and Business outcomes in alignment with strategy and budget
  • Drive new engagements for business transformation portfolio to uncover new opportunities and create business cases for future initiatives that have a strong ROl.
  • Lead conversations across multiple stakeholder groups; freely developing networks, building consensus, and prioritizing deliverables clearly and effectively to manage multi-faceted roadmaps.
  • Perform strategic business analysis, oversee the creation of detailed technology requirements (use-cases, user stories, or any other artifacts) and provide subject matter expertise to embed technology solutions and business strategies to current platforms and operating models.
  • Manage efforts to incorporate new technology capabilities onto the WM Advised and Digital Platforms.
  • Partner with Fleet Leadership and other Product Owners to conduct current state analysis and set strategy.
  • Provide support related to project governance, Legal, Risk & Compliance, business launch and testing strategy.
  • Support Engagement & Adoption strategy, and provide support for pilot and business launch.

Qualifications

  • Eagerness to learn the business and understand technical requirements
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • BS / BA degree required
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in product management, project management or technology
  • Experience in the financial services industry, Wealth Management, or consulting
  • Agile training a plus

    Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
