Our most common surgical services consist of endo, ortho, and pain procedures. Due to the high volume of outpatient procedures, our surgery staff do not work weekends or holidays.\n

• 2 OR Suites\n
• 1 Endo Suite\n
• 1 PACU Bay\n\nHow you'll contribute\n\nProvide direct patient care using the nursing process and supports unit coordination activities to promote safe, high-quality outcomes. Serves as a resource to staff and assists with scheduling, education, and performance initiatives. Must be able to float to all areas within surgery, especially OR.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nCoordinates staff scheduling, educational / development activities, and performance evaluations.\n\nIdentifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.\n\nPerforms quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA / QI initiatives.\n\nServes as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.\n\nMonitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.\n\nProvides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.\n\nParticipates in performance improvement and continuing education.\n\nProvides quality patient care and works other shifts / units as needed; may be assigned on-call.\n\nMaintains regular and reliable attendance.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nFundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team. • Professional development and growth opportunities\n\nQualifications and requirements\nApplicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include : \n
• 1-2 years minimum experience as a Surgery RN\n
• 2-4 years critical care experience preferred\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS)\n
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire\n
• Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually\n
