The Ohio Department of Youth Services is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist 1 to join our Division of Information Technology Services. Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Install, maintain, configure, upgrade, and / or administer hardware and / or software independently in assigned technology domain (Workstation / VDI Support)
- Utilize vendor supplied third party utilities for monitoring
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues; provide tier II-III level customer support
- Conduct performance tuning for hardware and / or software
- Manage devices such as phones and tablets; manage application compliance on third-party software for the entire agency.
- Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems using security tools (e.g., Absolute, Qualys, and other agency tools)

36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following : installing, monitoring / maintaining, configuring, upgrading, & / or administering / operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; and 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following : installing, monitoring / maintaining, configuring, upgrading, & / or administering / operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; and 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following : installing, monitoring / maintaining, configuring, upgrading, & / or administering / operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
