Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service. Responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically-related disorders requiring mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. In addition to caring for patients as described above, the Lead Therapist may serve in a mentoring capacity for the therapy staff and oversees day to day operations of the unit or clinic including, staffing, scheduling of patients, regulatory compliance, staff professional development, marketing and physician relations.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy or Master's degree in speech language pathology
Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy, preferred
Two years of applicable work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit
Previous leadership experience, preferred
Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
Current Colorado state licensure in physical therapy OR current Colorado state licensure in occupational therapy and Registered Occupational Therapist OR current Colorado state licensure in speech language pathology and
Certification of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an
