Position Overview

The Tax Manager will lead the tax compliance and planning efforts for the organization, ensuring adherence to all tax regulations and optimizing tax positions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to management on tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing training and development opportunities
  • Stay updated on changes in tax law and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax insights for business decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA)
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
