Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and a current CA license for a weekend day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in an inpatient hospital setting within the MRI department
  • Schedule consists of two 12-hour day shifts, Saturday and Sunday, from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Responsible for performing both routine and specialized MRI procedures
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible for this position
  • Primary responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, ensuring quality imaging, and delivering optimal patient care
  • Must maintain compliance with all privacy, safety, and regulatory policies
  • Will conduct patient assessment, monitoring, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
  • Participation in orientation modules is required and modules are completed via e-learning
  • Must be able to go in for required lab work within 3-5 days of assignment acceptance
  • Only one holiday request will be approved during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have a minimum 1 year gap since last assignment to be eligible
  • Local compensation rates apply for local candidates

    • Requirements

  • Current and valid CA Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as an MRI technologist required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Venipuncture certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Must be proficient with IV insertion
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • All certifications must be AHA and in hand at the time of consideration
